What a wild summer it has been for us. Here are some updates of what we’ve been up to and where we are going.
I’m sure many of you have noticed the lack of posts, updates, and distribution of our beer. As noted in our posts before of “how to start a brewery” another thing we have learned is that trying to distribute on a 1 bbl system is very difficult. Many places, surprisingly, only want to deal with a major distributor and not the brewery itself. Another struggle is having such a small amount of inventory. One batch can be sold to simply two different places. This hurts when a place wants to re-order and you are still fermenting your latest batch.
Along with production issues, we decided to remodel part of the brewery. This was always in the plans but the timetable of it was never set. This has also halted/slowed production as we want to make sure our brewery is as clean as it possibly can be during our brewing process. All of this combined has caused us to have to pass on the last two brewfests in Spokane.
However, the past month or so and now on-going, we have been focused on finding a location to create our dream taproom. Many thoughts and ideas of what it’s going to look like, what it’s going to serve and where it’s going to be have been discussed.
So what can you look for from us? A location. We are set and determined to find one that we feel is right for us. We are looking downtown Spokane to the Valley and even in Liberty Lake. Where we set our feet down we don’t know, but once we do, we will be sure to share it with you all.
